I'm often tinkering in the workshop, it's not a full time thing, but I can get quite 'involved' at times!
My current project has made me think, that it would be nice to start a thread, as some things are long term projects, I may go off for weeks or months before getting back to something, so to keep the pics more or less in one place, and for a bit of continuity, I thought a thread for it all would be best. We all love a project, so here we go.....:)

If I get time, I will also dig out some past projects that may be of interest.

So currently, I've been getting this old A frame...

So, after a bit of head scratching, measuring, and pondering....I gave it the chop:)

then set about squaring up the saddles, and making the saddles fit the frame. The curved saddles on top of the frame, I've removed from the axle, as I want them fitted in a different orientation to their original position, all will become clear later.....

P.A.D (plywood aided design) was employed...

that's pretty much it, I should add, that this is all just tacked in place at the mo, heavy tacks, it's going nowhere, but as I'm not following a design.....well, making it up as I go:D, I can, if worst comes to worst, take it apart and alter it, I will be furious, but at least it wouldn't be too big a deal.....

more later.....

@Pint , your spot on, the A frame is from a Volvo A25B/C, I think B series due to the way is fabricated. I will also be utilising a Panhard Rod from the same machine.

So...I flipped it over to add a bit of strength to the underside

Wanted a bit of 90mm wide box, never had any , so had to get inventive, shame it was a rough old bit, but beggars can't be choosers!
