My dad found a recipe somewhere for white soap and tried making some a few years ago. It didn't work and we buy soap now. I think it's a very tricky product to get right, I'm friends with Halterman on FB and he's spent months trying to perfect a recipe.

Is Show winners stuff the same as Gerald's? I tried some cream soap off show winners last year and that was great, bought some this year and it's horrible stuff, it's goes flaky and dry.
A friend swears by McInnes for clear soap, so may give that a go.
