Daffodils are just poking through the earth now, spring is on it's way

Snow doesn't last long either...

But drier hmmm dubs of water on my lawn and in fields fed up of rain just miserable atm

No, forget-me-nots. Sorry, weak joke!
I planted some white tulip bulbs in a trough last autumn, surrounded by forget-me-nots which I thought would look spectacular. The tulips came up long before the forget-me-nots started to flower, and then next doors tom cat dug the lot out....
Flowering quince and forsythia just beginning to come out - just lovely in the dashes of sunshine between the torrential rain!

Primroses are out in sheltered places

and a sticky bud on the chestnut I planted a couple of years ago.

Took me right back to childhood gently holding the bud and feeling the sticky!
