Grounds wet here at the moment, and rain is due with us after midnight tomorrow night.🙄

Was tempted to mow yesterday, and kick today for tomorrow pick up, but decided forecast for today didn't look good enough. Glad I didn't. Its been a wet evening. So we'll just have to bear with our one dry day in a row for a while longer.

Another 8mm just fell in half an hour onto waterlogged land. That's mowing plans put off yet again. This weekend was our best hope. And bald Rick is on 5th cut and worried about dry periods.🤦🏻‍♂️

TBF we were dosing home with watery slurry regularly during that dry spell ... then when it went wet, the grass exploded and has kept exploding

Yeh we got that dump of rain too in Eglinton😭. Grass is ready to mow on Monday but when on earth will get a settled dry spell that we need! Thunderstorms forecast now for Monday & Tuesday too! Ground is saturated. Not been easy getting grass at the quality stage this summer.

Ground is still mostly hard underneath from the good spell, but the top inch or two is pretty awful where it's covered with a heavy crop. I've got a peaty field I'm going to have to leave and chance the weather taking up, failing that tramp it in with light cattle.

One big heavy shower today lasted about 20 minutes hoping to still go ahead with wholecrop oats tomorrow ground won’t be pretty but it’s not undersown and it needs off tbh

Thinking of getting mower in tomorrow but worried Monday is A Bit uncertain. If it would stay dry until lunch time Monday I’d batter on
