It may appear so, but remember to include fuel, which most of the rest of the country do, but not locally.

We are paying 35.45ppl for red in loads of 2300 litres. Pity we're not getting that for milk at the moment .........

How many tonnes an hour would that kit bring home?

Clearing anything between 10-17ac/hour depending on crop and distance to clamp if forager has to sit waiting for a trailer but we were clearing 15ac/hr around home at around 10-12t FW/ac as an estimate looking at the clamp without breaking sweat

Last years first cut came in at 24 acres an hour. Second cut dropped down to 15 acres an hour.

Would be about right as our 2nd is usually heavier but 24ac/hr is pushing it as it doesn't give chopper operator much reaction time

I was surprised myself, a cold Northerly does grass crops no favours being as high as we are. Looking a lot better this year.

2 different fields. Top one is stemmy rye grass, bottom one is a very old ley and usually gives the best yields of all our mowing. They are looking a bit sparse this year and 6-7 bale/acre crops right now

autumn reseeded that didn’t get drilled until mid/October. About 1/3 of it was properly ready the rest probably 2 weeks off. Hopefully we’ve bought it all back together.

Started mowing today and there is fertiliser still not dissolved yet! Fertiliser was sowed on the 24th March. Will there be any good left in it once it gets dissolved?
