Tis all organic, will make a fortune, as I know two dairy farms are very short and nobody seems to be keen on selling.

I think most dairy farms are very short ( and that includes both Organic and Conventional farms ).

What sort of feed value would the wholecrop oats have for dairy cows?

What's the panic , cattle haven't come in yet and don't like they will for a while .

Not as good as the barley, but we grow it but it's for mostly dry cows and does a good job of putting condition back on our cows.

I guess they wholecropped everything they could due to the low grass yields in case they didn't pass the TB tests and had to milk all winter.

Not clear from the sale details how quick the forage has to be moved.

We always wholecrop it as self feed

I have been selling at £5 each collected

Nick champion held a farm sale last week nr ludlow and 4 string 7ft 80x90 barn stored wheat straw made £14/bale . Mr champion commented that the price reflected the plentiful supply of straw on offer.

We pay £4.50 for top quality very heavy green bales of meadow. Delivered in to sell on by the lorry load.
