Straw will get used up more in this weather.Straw is starting to move , seen a least 10 loads om the m4 today between Cardif and Swindon , A month ago be lucky if you saw one , lot of hay moving mind
Tayler and Fletcher said that buyers are not hot at auctions as the moneys not there to put up front, they are buying private as they need it , can't blame them really, unusual times when auctions are dragging the straw priceStraw will get used up more in this weather.
Recon as our barley straw was smashed up crap this year as we bed up with the jcb we are using more bales per day than last yearStraw will get used up more in this weather.
All depends what you can persuade the person selling to accept, plenty of rubbish about that people are dreaming of selling for high prices. After winters done and dusted there will have been more silage sold nearer £30 than £40 imoWhat price is cow hayladge/silage at the moment ideally dry
For suckler cows

Ours is all smashed up. Normally roll a bale out down the alleyway but it just rolls out where it stands. Squares are worse still can’t get any wads out to throw into pig pens. Using more straw than normal.
