are these things expensive to run?
are they very difficult to pull on a sand hill?
have scars and grey hairs from a cousins double ring press that ate bearings and consumed hp in sane

Bought a second hand 4.6 m years ago. It has the rigid times,a brilliant machine. mostly chalk with some heavier clay cap and alluvial silt.

don’t reverse with the level board down you will bend one of the boards. Don’t remember ever changing a bearing, just wearing parts. There is some play in the drawbar now. Would love to change it one day for 1 with spring tines

Have the sprung time version, only tips and paddles that wear, lost the odd pin and broken a couple of U bolts but that's it

Mostly chalk here. It’s a cracking machine. Done 1000s of acres with it in all sorts of situations. Both ploughed and min till ground.

we’ve got a 6m Versatilth on sand and could bury it if you really wanted too. Just take half widths and stays up fine.
