Simple way out of this

More than half of those that bothered to vote voted for the UK to leave the EU, this seems difficult or the remainers at the top to sort out so a simple solution would be to rename the EU then the UK wouldn't belong to it anymore and nor would any other country job done
Any ideas for a new name ?

Why are you predjudiced against Germany?
Daft question because... 1) I am not worried about Germany, as stated above it's Greater German i.e. an 'expanded' Germany (or German 'sphere') that concerns me; 2) were I to be worried about Germany itself it certainly wouldn't be on the basis of prejudice, but on repeated, horrible experience. We are more like the Germans (at least the southern Germans rather than the Prussians) than any other nationality in mainland Europe.

Not a daft question at all.Your anti German sentiments crop up on the forum time and time again.

We’re not even like each other! In the north, there’s Scandiwegians, in the extreme south (CI) there’s French. There are Spanish folks on the Uists and Irish in Merseyside. We are a nation of all types.

It was often said that British soldiers in the first World war thought that they had more in common with the Germans who they were fighting against than the French.

No. It was a daft question in reference to that post, because I was not referring to 'Germany' per se and, even if I had been, the word 'prejudice' would have been incorrectly used, since an opinion of doubt and concern as to Germany would be reasonable based upon well-documented experience rather than preconceptions.

That written, you should be more precise in your claims; I like the Germans and the French and have made this clear before; however, I have great misgivings with regard to the aspirations of their respective states.

IMHO we have a very different mindset. German's very much find "angst" if something is not done the right way.

UK people's put up with what is wrong.

I'm sure the average German is pretty much as likeable as the average UK national within reason - pretty much the same the world over, again within reason.

However German politicians seem to have a tendancy for control .. I'd also say the French as well.
