Dipple had a combined stone burrier / bed former for the beetroot that looked like a better way to do things than separating. Not sure who made it.

George Moate tillerstar? Don’t like bigger stones or stiff ground though.

Sandy loams to clay loams. Wont be stone separated.

Single rotor cheaper

Twin rotor better seedbed any clods burried but 25% more expensive

Jones are very well made machines & available secondhand but they will mostly have worked hard.

triple bed one in the unsold lots this month at cheffins. £1200 reserve. Could have the outer rotors removed? It’s not much of a job I’ve stripped down some of the newer ones and if anything like them it’s only held together with pins and bushes.

I have no connection to it just remembered seeing it while browsing unsold lots.

Speak to Standen they sell the Forgio range, they do all sorts of single bedformers, in amny widths.

I’ve had several Jones machines both single and triple bed but all single rotor machines. The type of land you farm will determine the need for single or double rotor machine.

That’s pretty cheap, and if you only want one , you get two for spares .
What bed width do you want ?
a Simon with the powered rake leave the best beds to drill on .

Yes, drill with a Stanhay vacuum drill. A 785 I think it is.
