Did anyone else watch the programme on BBC 2 about the research into TB in cattle ?

I thought it raised some very interesting points.

Above on a mission still to try to prove badgers are not the carrier of tb onto Livestock farms,9pm bbc 2 a documentary been made by him and bbc. Article in online main bbc news, with him as usual putting all the blame on farms and saying our poor farm hygiene is all to blame...

Did anyone else watch the programme on BBC 2 about the research into TB in cattle ?

I thought it raised some very interesting points.

Disappointing program, in truth, I would say.

The ambition was to show how their new testing protocol would identify latent infection and remove those cattle from the herd to allow a 'truly' TB free status be established on the farm and they achieved that on the farm, we were told.

No mention of 3, I believe, further breakdown in the subsequent years until the final 6 seconds of the program.

And they blame the subsequent breakdowns on latent infection in the herd, the very infections that their new protocol was supposed to detect? A peculiar avenue to travel if their aim was to set a new standard to eliminate the disease.

And apparently the 31% of badgers with TB on the farm had no part to play in the breakdowns, which I have to admit to finding a touch disingenuous at best.
