Skid steers

Bobcat. It's the lesser of the evils mentioned.
Jcb have some innovative features but seem to have fair amount of niggles.

I'd shovel by hand before buying a CNH skid steer. Case and New Holland both same loader.

Gehl actually had a decent loader before Manitou took over.

I admit I am somewhat biased, I hate cnh products. I had a customer who kept bringing a NH loader to shop for oil leaks ,found it a right pita to work on.
I think operator visibility is worse as well for the Cnh machine compared to the others...
Uncle has had few nh skids, first 1 had a bent boom from new and wore the bucket on 1 side, second 1 the tilt pins werent greasable and kept breaking the locking bolts on them. Third 1 seems to be doin ok so far. What about kubota?

Kubota grabbed everyone's attention when they first hit the market here in usa, several dairymen have them locally. The guys who putter about and don't overwork them have good things to say and the guys who run them hard not so much. Visibility is my biggest gripe with Kubota. Otherwise I wouldn't throw them out of the question.

Now Then..
We've sold a few Case machines over the years. As a well used everyday machine which seems to get very little attention (until there's a big problem) I think they do well. When they come in for the aforementioned attention, they're usually covered in cow related stuff, under the cab is packed with straw and feed products. Given the conditions, you can't rubbish the machine. In such conditions, they're a haven for rodents too... 🐀🐀🐀🐀

Skidsteers for a lot of farms are actually a nightmare to own in some applications. Dirty environments and now with emissions crap its a dealer's nightmare to keep dairymen happy with some brands of machine.
Lot of times they get used for multiple short tasks then engine stopped never worked hard. Eventually creating regen issues with the dpf and egr valves. Seems to be biggest overall problem in this area
