Slaughter & Butchery service Somerset / Dorset

Blackmore Vale Butchery I was wondering how you arrange things- I have taken a few pigs to C&S at Holnest and they have butchered them and also sausaged them, but I notice you also use C&S for slaughter. I was just going to ask how it works as I have been happy with their service and wouldn't want to tread on their toes if you see what I mean, or do you work in conjunction with them on the butchery side? Hope that makes sense, just learning at this stage! :)

Hi Red Fred ,

I totally understand where your coming from .... we do use C&S for 70% of our slaughtering needs tho we offer a butchery service our selves at both our butchery depots! We have a depot in Dorset called The Blackmore vale butchery (01747 838881) we offer a full professional butchery service to meet your demands. Whether you choose to use us or any other butcher it's all about the end presentation and end product and I hope we tick both boxes with our butchery service . We also offer gluten free options when it comes to sausage or burger products

So would we take the pigs to C&S for slaughter and pick them up from the butchery, or bring them to you once they are killed? :)

When you book in the pigs you'll need to tell C&S that they are coming back to us at The Blackmore vale butchery and all the kill levy charges go onto our invoice and we then collect and hang the carcasses at our depot until we receive your cutting requirements and then the meat can be collected from us at the butchery once your order is complete
