Slug pelleter problem

We’ve got a brand new Stocks fan jet.
One or both of the slides stick intermittently, Stocks told us to put a washer between the slide and base of the hopper as the problem is pellets jamming the slide. The idea being to give more clearance.
But now with the slide closed it still lets odd pellets out. Surely defeating the point of having a shut off on it.
It’s still getting jammed with the washers in there.
They told me it’s a common occurrence if we use Sluxx.
We can’t be the only Farm using Sluxx.
Hopefully someone has had similar experiences and found or been given a solution.
I’m not overly impressed at the moment.

Just check the voltage up at the actuator, you should have near enough full battery voltage (measure that first).
A bad connection will leave the actuator lazy.

Edit:
Leave the actuator connected if you can to load the circuit, as the meter will not show a bad connection on its own.

Our stocks fan jet with double slides eats quad bike batteries the charging system isn’t up to the job!

yes, the quad would only be trickling into the battery.
You'd nearly need its own battery connected to the quad just as a top-up, then charge over night from the mains. More hassle ..........

This is on a JCB work max.
It seems to be fine (so far)
My gripe is why should we have to bodge a brand new machine to do the job it’s meant to do in the first place.
Stocks have said again they’ve had problems with Sluxx and Ironmax.
I wish I’d known before I bought it.

Not had a problem putting Ironmax through ours as long as bike has a good battery which shouldn’t be a problem with the jcb it will have an alternator on it!

I have a Fan Jet Pro Plus mounted on a small IW trailer. I have 3 85AH leisure batteries to run it as the quad system simply isn't up to it. No problems & I get a day's running out of it.

Mounting a leisure or car battery on the front of the quad isn't a bad idea anyway - it helps keep the front down on slopes.

Charging the battery from the quad is complex & requires a split charging system which costs £££. Better to have a mains charger to top up a stand alone battery/batteries at night.

Don't just run the extra battery in parallel with the quad bike's own one
