Slurry store cost?

I am wondering about sticking up a slurry store to hold maybe 400,000 gallon. We currently have 4 slated tanks holding 130000 gallon in total but can only ever get to mid winter. Unsure how much rain water it would collect either...?

Im pretty sure there isnt just now but whats the chances of any grants in scotland coming back again?

Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, due to my advancing years, I have reduced staff to just myself, using reliable sub contractors to do the erection work. They are fully booked up until well into the summer, with my work and their own, so I don’t think it fair to take on more work at the moment, only to end up with frustrated customers.

Slurry will be old hat in 10 years time, a separator will be the way to go, spread dirty water when you Wat, keep solids to spring, less cost of storage, less air pollution, kinda on the public,
That if anywhere is where the grant will be
I don’t think your allowed to spread separated liquid in the closed period in an NVZ,
The EA definition of dirty water is quite tight but simply is water that isn’t particularly dirty, once it’s been in contact with any appreciable amount of muck/slurry it is classed as slurry.

I presume they use a lot of electric as well ?

The separator I've got only has a small motor on it, it's running the pump to get the stuff up to it that's expensive. I've got a 15kw motor running our Eisele pump/stirrer which was a leftover from our previous slurry system. It's much to big for our one separator, I bought a second one from a farm sale and piped the 2 together and the system is much better now
