Smart export guarantee

As I understand it is a guaranteed price for all your export over a given period offered by certain companies for new installs. The prices I saw were not looking that good, the best 5.5 down to 3.5p No inflation proofing etc.
I think they are mainly aimed at the small end of the market where currently there is no 50% guaranteed export.
I guess it depends on having a suitable meter installed.
The original FIT scheme did state that when a smart meter was fitted the 50% would go , but the chaos the Smart meters brought, meant that Idea, went out of the window

Am just interested as it’s being suggested we look at it for our existing 250 kw wind turbine. I am told you can convert from FiTs but I am not sure I see the benefit

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
