Use to have a frog that would sit on a ball valve in a particular field and just run water away so he could have a fresh cold bath. Never had the heart to deal with the little devil but he’d cost me a few quid in his time

The number of times I had to defrog the pipe from the well ...

Is there a point in the pipework where you can add a filter, @JJT ? The sort that unscrews easily to sluice a frog out before he gets to the fiddly bits?

I want to add a filter, I think a 20" housing with an 80 micron washable cartridge would suit

For some reason, the first header from the spring doesn't trouble frogs. They use it as a flume ride to the second, where the difficulties used to start as pipework is narrower.

Used to be ours too - worms blocking the washing machine water inlet as well . Cured all that by putting in a big sediment filter and also a UV filter . Apart from needing to change the sediment filter to clear all the peat etc it's been foolproof .

Yes could probably find somewhere to fit a filter, although it is the first time in 40years as far as i'm aware of it happening.

We have two houses on the same supply, they both have filter and uv tubes, just the farm buildings that aren't filtered.

No, there isn't anything, will have to have a look see what i can fit. Its a very enclosed system and has never been a problem until now.
