Thinking out loud. I've a Coldstore for potatoes. It uses most of its electric when the sun is beating down on the roof. Would the panels run it?

How big is the roof, how many kWh of power do you use?

Roof is 110 feet by 40, using about 100 units a day most of the year.

I very much doubt panels would run it, but I suspect that if you are in the same regime we are, it would pay to purt panels on.

We run ours mostly on daylight hrs during the winter and extend hrs as spring/summer comes in,you will still have to a bill for your electric bit should be able to reduce it by a good bit,we have a 150kw system and even in winter it earns more than it costs to run the coldstore though.
