Solar roof rentals

Hi.
Is the model of providing a shed roof for someone else to install panels and in exchange for electricity at low rate still stacking up? Ive got a big roof over my new dairy but cost of paneling will bust my budget ..i thought these schemes were quite common a while back bu the economics may have changed due to end of FIT. ?

they were common when there was a tariff for generating electricity and export payments, up to 30kw installed it was assumed 50% was exported so they paid you for half of what you generated at the export rate as well as the generation rate. I don't think you will find any rent a roof now tho.
