Hi all. This is a stab in the dark. After spending 32 years in the Royal Air force I have now left the job I loved after getting to old . I have been lucky to say i have had some fantastic tours and have been based in most parts of the country and abroad. I have now settled down with my family in Wiltshire. I am no young chicken and just about to reach the right old age of 59 in November. I am been very proud of serving my country and have now become a member of the Royal Air force Association and I have recently been given the honour of carrying the standard at veterans funerals and remembrance day. The reason I am writing this is when i was stationed in Lincolnshire I took at the hobby of metal detecting and was very lucky to be given a lot of acres of land by generous farmers. Since I have moved down to Wiltshire i have found it so hard to get permission to carry out my hobby the land has somebody on it already or it is tenanted. So basically I am trying everything to get back to where I started. I know you have all probably read many emails on this sight asking the same thing and I am truly sorry if I have annoyed anybody. But on the off chance if anyone has any land pasture or otherwise that would happy to give me permission to search it would make a this not so young veteran so grateful. I am more than willing to travel to do my hobby and will even book a hotel away if need be. Its a weekend away for my long suffering wife Diane to. Thank you for taking the time to read this short request. Regards Garry
