I bought a reconditioned meter from @Lodekka last Year. A real gentleman to deal with and I defy anyone to get a better value for money meter.
I had previously used them over 30 years ago when in the trade and have found myself back where I started. 🤣🤣
I certainly have more faith in the Marconi than the Sinar I have 🤦
Thank you for your kind words - happy to help anyone with a Marconi meter.

I can offer advice, provide spares or a full restoration service, calibration, mains unit conversion, supply missing documentation/scales/charts etc., also I have refurbished meter for sale.

Glad to be of help.
Regards
Nigel

I bought 2 mains converted units, still half price of anything else for the two.
Seems far more repeatable than the Protimeters that preceded them.

Thank you Lodekka and all very much for your help,
therefore, I think, (for its mere existance!) it deserves "a pound a year"?
If anyone wishes to purchase it from me? otherwise eBay it is💡💡🙏🙏

Hope you are successful but I think you might be expecting a little too much if you try for 'pound a year'...
God luck if you do.

Would still suggest post an image of the meter so that everyone can see overall condition.
Also I can possibly offer relevant advice.

Any one interested in buying these? What are they worth. We have not been arable for years and have finally ripped out our old grain store etc so sadly no need for these anymore

One is mains converted.

Looks like £30/pair is a bit of an insult for 2 meters in pretty good condition
Well lets hope the seller can do better. My offer is based on what work i would have to do to the meters to restore them/replace any worn/faulty parts etc. and calibrate them. So I would accept it might be possible to improve on this. However, there are plenty on auction sites that are not selling and for similar values.

I would like these meters to go to a good home where possible - so my offer is a potential baseline.

This depends on the model and general condition and if it is on mains or battery operation.

A similar meter with a full mechanical/electrical refurb including all accessories and manual/chart/scales etc., plus a 1 year warranty is £170 on batteries.

Like a s/hand car, it is a bit of an unknown quantity until you can see the meter in person and fully assess the condition - these pair look fairly clean and could well be ok, but i would be absorbing any risk in the price i offer. If someone does buy them then I am more than happy to offer help and advice to get them going.

As I said, my offer is to hopefully guarantee their survival if no-one else comes along.

Were you looking for a meter? I'm happy to help support you if you decided to go for one of these.
