I personally like their input and they seem to take things a bit less serious.

Some uk forum members find them irritating but perhaps they take a different ,more lifestyle approach to farming.:coldfeet:

After all knowledge is key so their ideas and discussions should be welcomed and could we learn from them?:scratchhead:

What are other users thoughts ?:shifty:

I have frequented other national farming forums. The language/dialect barrier was something else in some cases, but it was interesting nonetheless. I can tell you however, that TFF is nowhere near as incendiary as some of the others! o_O

I like the international contingent here, makes a change from the regular members who I am sure are trying to convert the place into an online suicide pact or something.

Always important to seek the views of those who are far removed (at least geographically) form our own shores. Adds some much needed perspective especially the Kiwis who have farmed sub’ free for sometime.

At the end of the day this is an Internet forum and is open to anyone in the world. If members don’t want to discuss things with anyone other than those in their immediate social circle, go to the pub and steer clear of Internet forums.

I am often surprised at the vitriol and unpleasantness levelled at the antipodean posters by a handful of members, simply for having an opinion. These colonials tend to be very direct and have little time for BS. This can grate against British sensibilities sometimes, or so it would seem. Having a foot in both camps, so to speak, I would suggest those who seem to get so offended by international input need to lighten up a little.

I’ve learnt an awful lot from them in the nearly 3 years I’ve been here. A forum is an opportunity to learn without the airfare!

At least they have their location in their profiles unlike a lot of U.K. members who’s posts sometimes mean very little without it :).
