Today has had 80kg N, 10kg P, 25kg K and 15kg S

And the ugly S Wheat as above but into wheat stubble, slow away and slugs.

Drilling Maize today. In dual rows with 720mm gap, into last years maize stubble. Low lying clay meadow! 44000 seeds/ac (24kg/ha) Kaspian.

26 row machine 16 blocked off so 5 dual rows have put ventilators on tubes to keep up even distribution of seed without seed bounce.

Not wanting to hijack the dale Spring Oats thread, here is a picture of our Spr Oats.
Variety Dominik, planted 22nd april, 170kg/ha, 15kg umostart, 4kg slug pellets, 80 kg N/ha pre-em, round-up pre-em, one pass fungicide herbicide combined.
Soil type - clarty clay.
Pleased with them hope they can hang on in this heat!

This is probably our worst field, 18 jan. decided to plant summer cover to try to restore ground, had a bag of Pedders left, went with very high seed rate (220 kg/ha) bit expensive but soil needs serious help!

18 May flood damaged no grass just buttercups and the odd reed.drilled with Pedders No1 and umostart 8th May.

15th July growing well, lots of Oats and Vetches, Fodder Radish unfortunately has bolted, few sunflowers not much Buckwheat.
