looks good, you need lots of ears for Barley to yield and you have that.

Hope so. Might be the star crop as input spend is not a lot. It'll need a fungicide I guess sometime soon but I am hoping that's it. Shouldn't be any more than £85/ac job done.

Hell yes !! It can grow ryegrass and brome really well. It's called 'The Meadow' for that exact reason!

Sounds like it should be a mainstay of your rotation.

IIRC @yellow belly has used Spring Barley to help clean up bad black-grass land.
