This would be devastating for the Cornish meat industry, Dawn's at Treburley thinking of closing too, the 2 largest Abattoirs in the county. We as farmers must raise the funds for a buy out or our industry down here will collapse .

Just made a couple of phone calls, it's the cutting plant at Roche which they're thinking of shuting as they have now had a grant for £1.6millon to build one in Scotland (or up date one )
Also am starting to push for a levy for farmers to take some control of abattoirs , have contacted my local buying group to see if we can start something + will email AHDB + NFU.

Just a thought but if you want help and advice Terry Baylis who was the man who had the vision and foresight to start Farmers Ferry which morphed into Farmers Fresh would be worth a call.
If ever a man deserved a Knighthood it’s that man.
He had farmers interests in his heart from day one. I’d give him a call. He’s very passionate and approachable.
