Stand up cruching in a mobile race

We have one and wouldn't be without it. I Prefer it for dagging and crutching than a combi clamp. I love our combi clamp for many things but don't find dagging easy with it for some reason. Only thing we've done is fit a bar below the handle as we found some ewes could knock the handle with their head and escape.
do you have a gate rigged so you can step in beside the sheep or just lean over the hurdle?

Can be done, bit of modifying and works a treat.

I pin a George Mudge head yoke on the end of a prattley race. It is slightly wider than the normal Prattley gate so you can stand either side of their hips to hold them still. Then use a Horner Rambo off a 12v battery. It works well and was fairly cheap to create and no getting in and out of the race, just pin the hurdles on the widest setting.

Modulamb docking yoke.

2 joiners will fit it to the end of a Rappa trailer race.

We made 2 plywoods to go either side to encourage them in.
We like those but they need a serious modification on.the top. Our first outing with ours a few years ago resulted in 2 broken legs the first day with lambs trying to jump out the prattley

That’s very unlucky.

We,touch wood have not had any broken legs, odd one will take a leap.

As I set the machine next to it I use the spare drop in and tie it to obstruct any jumping.

Yeah it nearly ended up in the river the first day out.
Until I calmed down and got the welder out, a professional might have painted it afterwards but no one has ever accused me of that.:)
