I learn tonight that a 40 year old tractor driver was killed at Rushbrooke near here

Early reports say a de-stoner was involved

The awful weather has put even more pressure on everyone to catch up with Spring operations

Could this be moved and given a better title. It’s terribly sad but by saying in the title about how the poor chap died may , only may save another.
Such a terrible thing to happen. With potatoes 4 weeks behind they will all do silly hours soon

I could change it and thought hard when I posted. I wasn't sure how much detail I should put out there at the moment because of the sensibilities of those involved. It is tragic and shocking

I always worry about working on my own so much. I usually get enough bed tilled when friend comes back from school to keep me going the next day so am always on my own

Terrible news for all affected including the mans colleuges and employers of which I have a lot of respect for. As most we've been putting in more hours to try to catch up , unfortunately it can only take a slight lapse in concentration and the results can be catastrophic.
