Steam cleaner issue

I have probably posted on here before about this but I keep having issues with my Eagle steam cleaner. Its not old (5-6 years) and I don't use it that often except for washing the fert spreader at this time of year. It keeps running out of pressure after a few minutes washing, whether or not heat is on. Let go of trigger for a few seconds and its fine again. Keeps repeating. Seems to be plenty of water coming out of supply. Also when you let go of trigger takes a few seconds before pump cuts out. Used to stop almost instantly. Any help gratefully received. I have a blind spot when it comes to steam cleaners, they are always a PITA with me.

We have a different make but it has a small tank that the water supply fills, there is a small filter before it feeds into the washer itself and if that gets partially blocked we lose pressure. Might be worth a look

I’d agree, reckon it either not getting water for some reason or a sniff of air somehow.

We just had a similar issue with our pressure washer. The service guy carries round an adaptor that allows the water hose to be attached directly to the inlet hose for the pump. He then turns on the water and looks for signs of water seeping out. If the water seeps out under pressure, it indicates that the same leak will draw air during normal use. Turned out ours needed a new gasket on the pump and it was fine after.

Is the nozzle correct?
The lance/gun on our britclean machine was worn out. Rather than get a replacement from them direct I just picked a standard one up at local Ag.store. Had the same issue as you. Spoke to britclean and they said use the nozzle off the old lance , problem solved ?

Does it connect directly to garden hosepipe ? Does it have an internal tank? After re reading your post it would look like a water starvation issue.

Changed water supply and checked and cleaned input filter. Problem persists. May have to take it somewhere to be checked out. Thanks for all help.
