Eighth time (un)lucky? Just how many times does he need to be told?
Silly thing to write, it's the FPTP electoral system, and you know it. UKIP - as was - had way more votes than the LDs or SNP who in combination had something near 70 MPs, while UKIP got none. For an irony, the more democratic system used for the election of MEPs proved the support UKIP had.

But be careful what you laugh at; I'm no fan of Farage any longer, but I guarantee you if he gets a seat, it will open a floodgate at subsequent elections...

I believe that man hasn’t stood for a GE seat recently, as he has spent so many years wasting our money trolling the European Parliament (whilst complaining about our lack of representation, exacerbated by him and his comrades🤔🤷‍♂️).
He stood at the GE seven times prior to that, each time being soundly rejected.

If he, or any of his ilk, actually manage to get elected (perish the thought), then it will be more of a sad reflection on the electorate being swayed by populist soundbites in the media than anything else, imho.
They have no substance and no policies, other than their anti-EU and anti-immigration rhetoric.
