Store lambs with itch

We have some store lambs with the itch quite bad. They are about two three weeks from being fit. Is there a short withdrawl remedy as don't want to spot on them and have to keep them longer

If both you have three options... dip them (56 days meat withdrawal???), get the vet to check if it's scab or lice and treat accordingly or send them directly into an abattoir immediately (assuming they aren't itching too badly).

If they've got the itch, tell them to keep thier woolly close on and stay away from the other sex :hilarious:

I'll get my coat :cautious:

On a serious note, when I spoke to the vet about itching symptoms and thought it was just lice, they said you can't tell in the early stages and the only way to rule out scab was to take one down to the vets to get a skin scrape sample taken and looked at under the microscope. I think I priced that up, and for the number of sheep (bought in ewes with lambs at foot) I had, just jagged them with closamectin, as it wasn't going to cost much more. Covered them long enough to get them all fat and away.
