Thanks for all the kind comments. It's been a long day but very happy. Steers av. 494kg - £1057 and heifers 450kg £1023. They were all around the 11 - 12 months. Bought in 7 good lim heifers for bulling. We try to keep around 20 to 30 of our own heifers every year but if we see something tidy from herds we know a bit about, we might buy the odd one or two off them.
Can't wait to drop the cheque in the big hole and see if we hear it hit the bottom

Edit - Steers averaged £1123. I had divided by 34 instead of 32 :scratchhead:

£1250/£1300?

A lot of people have one or two like yours, but to see every one with the stamp they have is an absolute credit to you. Everyone always says as I did, a credit to you and must be a joy to look at every day, but whilst not to your level I like to produce half decent cattle and it takes a lot of work and hours to get your rewards. Hope you enjoyed your day

That's very kind, thank you. Regulars to Brecon market know that the mart is full of these type of cattle. It's a treat to see so many in one yard.

This steer went to 1295. He wasn't as rough as he looks on the pic.

There are some very good suckler farmers around the Breconshire,Powys,Radnorshire areas and the cattle they produce are a credit to the industry. Some of the show potential sales produce some amazing cattle and the prices reflect that.
Glad you had the trade your stock deserve, there's a lot of hard work gone into rearing them to point of sale.
