When were they built?

Some further up would be +100yr old, most are 1960s type council houses. Built flood defence walls a few yr ago, which caused issues immediately beyond the end of the defences with river gouging thousands of tonnes soil out of a field exposing the gas main. There is a lot of gravel in the river.

I think so, one gauge only had 6mm for today, but it must’ve been struggling to catch the mostly horizontal rain.

Said on news that the wall can take up to a 3.5m rise in river level………experts predicting it will rise 5m
