Strathclyde Blocks

Anyone used these blocks/buckets for sheep?

Merchant round here started selling them but never heard of them before so just wondering if anyone can tell me anything about them?

used to use them cause they were cheap (er) but found they were far to soft.

can't beat rumivite IMO if you are using blocks.

I would advise to use them as they have a great spec compared with competitors. If u want to speak to one of the nutritionalists who designed there make up then pm me and I will give you his number.

We have been feeding them. Seem to be ok and last a while too. Vitality or something like that are the ones we have out to april lambers.

I think a lot of the time people relies they've run out of grass and think "i know I'll get some blocks" then moan they eat them to fast.
They are a supplement to be fed alongside roughage. Not instead

I use there ewe forage booster buckets pick them yp ex hard, 30 in back of pick-up, 13 quid each I thing the are. Will move onto somthing beter either from strathclyde or the lifeline (£18) buckets 5 weeks of lambing. 80 ewes will have one in a week or 10 days, there getting hay or silage too. Noticed the texel x mules eat them a few days quicker as mules. Buggers!

Won't be using rumevite blocks because cannot stand the area rep after he pulled a dirty stunt on us. Hmmm general consensus seems to be that they don't seem too bad might give them a try. Didn't know there were so many different blocks on the market!!
