I prefer tubeless. Less pressure and more grip on the root's.
I am on 29ers

Sorry if it sounds stuppid but how would I repare a puncture on a tubeless?

1) you put goo in a tubeless tyre when you fit it, the goo should seal most punctures
2) if the hole is too big for the goo you can use a plug kit
3) if that fails put a spare tube in so you can ride home and buy a new tyre...

apparently, I wouldn't really know as I still ride with tubes.

A good question! As above. I understand the system works very well at mountain bike pressures. In my experience at road pressures the sealant system doesn’t work as well. Consequently I have stuck with tubes.

Bought a bike in May setup tubeless. No problems for the 1st 800 miles. 28mm running at 75-80 psi, it’s very comfortable.
Did a sportive and had a puncture early on, it was a small split the sealant came through and didn’t seal the hole. I have a plug kit but my group persuaded me to put a tube in, that only lasted 5 miles before it punctured and I put another tube in. All fine after that.

On that day there were 7 punctures between us only 1 puncture was in a tubeless…

So I am currently tubeless on the front and tube on the back. I am going to take the tube out when I get time. It is noticeable that the ride is not as good with the tube in.

Times defo improving since I lost weight ,over two stone now , hills I'm finding a lot easier , still losing a bit on the flats though

Had two nasty falls and some near misses with cars this last month , roads terrible out today and plenty of idiot drivers, but enjoyed the ride , think the falls have done me good , being extra careful now

I’m still doing some road biking but now doing more gravel biking. No cars is great and there are some great rides for gravel bikes.

Get on Gravel- or a hard tail mtb. Loads nicer this time of year than a road bike, and there's plenty of options to ride, without the risk of a 44 tonner wiping you out.

Anyhoo, I even took one of my bikes, wrong choice as it turned out but hey ho, still nice to pedal with the sun on your back, albeit in a force 10 gale everyday...

This has got me thinking: Would there be any interest in a TFF Strava meet up on some random sportive next year?
It would have to be mid country to accomodate all and lessen our collective carbon footprint ( I'll plant a few trees to offset it, honest! )

Possibly, depending on location, date and course. Nothing too technical for me, had a bad crash a couple of years ago which seems to have lessened my ability to descend at speed.

I’d be keen, obviously can’t clash with spring drilling, 1st cut, spraying, fertiliser, turnout, lambing, calving, 2nd cut and definitely before harvest

I've had my 1st puncture on my new mountain bike after a year, it's tubeless and the valve core isn't removable, so not sure how I get more goo into it? Local bike shop reckons put a tube in it, but reading the discussion on here, people seem to rate tubeless? I like being able to run at low pressure. I jacked the pressure way up for a road run, so I'm wondering if I just blew some sealant out a hole and resealing with more goo will see me right, any advice?
