Straw for horse bedding

I usually buy in barley straw in the swath and sell on as bedding for horses in 4 footers. Guy I usually get straw from can’t supply any barley straw this year, but can supply wheat straw instead.

Just wondered if anyone has sold wheat straw for horse bedding and do customers like it? Or does it cause any of the usual “horsey problems”

Lots of horsey people complain that their horses eat Barley straw. But most don’t care what it is as long as it is clean.

Ours don’t know the difference......
As long as it look nice for their precious horse to lay on they are happy.

We only supply our horse yard with wheat straw, any that don't like straw use shavings. With barley I would be worried they would moan about it being to soft, or to bright or they would eat it etc.
