No deals but had some offers ranging from £100-£125/acre. It’ll be £150/acre at harvest.
Loading straw out today at £135/tonne.

I was planning to chop everything but at £150/ac, I could be tempted to sell some!

Be better waiting till January to buy. They'll bale everything and crash the market again with oversupply.
A lot of cattle housed end of September will need bedding though and some here in all year round.

Think I charged £45 an acre for barley straw last year, straight out of the combine.
I must be doing something wrong.
Don't worry.
Lee always posts straw prices at least 50% higher than most can achieve.
At that price it’s worth more to you if it’s chopped an d put back into the ground

We are on the edge of Dartmoor and there will be prices to match his locally for sure!
