28 + 24 must be over length as you say?

I really aren't qualified to comment on legal lengths of hgv's but I'm assuming 28+24 is now legal with the drawbar as short as it will go as this is how they run them now and when they sent for test previously. 28 plus 32 was an awesome rig though but completely illegal

@Forage Trader I do think that the way you run your job gives you great power over the average Strawman but that asset also makes you more vulnerable ,
There's a lot to be said for being the man that does the job !
To a degree yes but I have some big suppliers who do a 100% job, for the rest well that's my job to get around it to make sure it's right, you get what you pay for it suppose

I think that it's not really rocket science. You get to know your customers, you take the best stuff to those wanting/needing the best and charge them at your highest rate for your trouble (by trouble I mean you've used 2 different moisture meters to check that moisture is less than 0%, a bathroom mould and mildew detector and a yellowishiness chart on every bale after cutting and re bailing every bale just to make sure). Then, to the customers that just want something cheap for old daisy to stand and relieve herself in, or that are tightfisted and have a strawdestroyereaterblower 5000 you take the poorer quality stuff and charge them a lower rate accordingly. Then for the majority, you try to find competitively priced straw that averages less than 16%, provide a reliable service, hope you get paid, hope the customer calls you again next time, and have fun doing it....IF VOSA don't catch u...having fun that is :)

Hard to get anyone to sheet, did a deal with the one in the picture, he bought the sheets, I pay him extras for the time he uses them, one yard we go would not let him through the gate if it's unsheeted and raining
