If I start pulling racks out yes I'm over length , @DieselRob if you only stack quads 5 high the numbers never will add up. !
28 + 24 must be over length as you say?

Trying to understand the mind of the farmer is quite a task !agree but cant understand farmers that leave perfect good straw bales lying around for days in field and ruining a perfect bale ?. maybe its a time issue ?
View attachment 94084There must be plenty of good straw available , after all it hardly rained in september , all ours was perfect .
@DieselRob , 80 quads is done with an identical set up as you speak, but due to men in power with tape measures and hd bales I have had to cut numbers , 71 is the norm ,
To a degree yes but I have some big suppliers who do a 100% job, for the rest well that's my job to get around it to make sure it's right, you get what you pay for it suppose@Forage Trader I do think that the way you run your job gives you great power over the average Strawman but that asset also makes you more vulnerable ,
There's a lot to be said for being the man that does the job !
yep,it will be 2015 grass.to be fair its not stopped growing this year so may get 2 cuts in 2015.?? do you mean you have some that is going to be spare from this years crop , or have spare grass to make for 2015 season , how can you predict what you have , maybe drought or might pee down all season
ST IVES, put in as one lot and let the buyer take what he wants, selling fixed numbers is a pain, does help if you have a few spare to make up loadsSo as as seller putting quads in a sale what is the best number of bales to put in each lot?
A lad in Yorkshire took the rozzers to court on sheeting and won, which is just as well coz it's a farce !
