What do people prefer to do when grazing stubble turnips with sheep.

Always done strips but this year more sheep and larger block of turnips.

Sheep will have grass run back and access to haylage.

Used to strip but now block.

If you strip in wet weather you may think you are doing well by saving what's behind the fence. However they will plough up and down the strip wasting it.

Given a bigger block sheep will make their own tracks like they do in grassland.

Less labour too moving fences daily.

From grazing dairy cows Ayr.

Strip when dry, block when wet.

Animals move around a lot less in a block, although you can get problems with trampled crop compared to a strip if you can make it narrow enough (although more of a problem with cows)

What I usually do is set up my long fences and then split the long strip into blocks, with one major fence move Once a week or so. The rest of the time it's just a short fence to move, which saves a lot of time.
