I wonder if this would be a lawful accident here in Britain with other striped intruders?

The Guard Dogs Act 1975

(1)A person shall not use or permit the use of a guard dog at any premises unless a person (“the handler”) who is capable of controlling the dog is present

(7c) ' “premises” means land other than agricultural land '

The Hunting Act 2004 - High Court Judgment of February 2009

'hunting is an intentional activity; the accidental or inadvertent hunting of a wild mammal with one or more dogs is not an offence under the Act. To prove an offence of illegal hunting it would be necessary to prove that the defendant engaged and participated in the hunting and that the hunting was intentional'

Protection of Badgers Act 1992

6 General exceptions.

A person is not guilty of an offence under this Act by reason only of—

(c)unavoidably killing or injuring a badger as an incidental result of a lawful action;
