Can anyone recommend a quality collie dog for my bitch. She’s a fantastic little dog, stylish, determined, really listens, but can on occasion have a little bit too much eye. She has an incredible temperament and is very biddable, and I’d really like to keep this in the pups.... any ideas?

How far do you want to travel? I had a litter id December by Paul Tompkins' tri-colour dog, Foxridge Roy. It was his choice of sire, as part of the arrangement when I bought the bitch from him. They've all gone to some good homes. One to a farm, and the others all for trialling or agility (now they are a serious bunch!). Once the dog's pedigree was known by those, they were all getting very excited by the prospects.
I admit know nothing of dog pedigrees, and it was certainly enlightening talking to various breeders. All the pups that have gone near sheep have already showed interest in them (apparently a good thing), and Paul has another young pup by him doing likewise.
The one I've kept back is showing all the signs of being something useful, and it will only be me that buggers her up.:(

Paul's at Knighton, mid-Wales though.

I have a collie that may be of interest. Hampshire based so not too far from you. He isn’t registered but my other half tells me he could be and has all the breeding paperwork.

PM me if interested.

@neilo I’m more than happy to travel for the right dog, the dog at the top of my list right now is in Northumberland, so I was just wanting to see if there was something I liked closer!
I went to Paul’s for 3 days training with my first bitch.
I would really like the pups to go to agility homes. Some of the trialling homes can be less than ideal.. [emoji15]

Similar position to this post! I’ve got a little red collie bitch not registered ! Sounds very like the bitch in the post her one downfall would be a little to much eye but stylish, cracking outrun and always one step ahead of the game! Any recommendations for a stud, south Shropshire area willing to travel a bit if needed! Many thanks

I've choice of a rough coat black and white or smooth coat black and white. Small chance the smooth carries red gene, just outside Lancaster. Both work on a hill farm with 500 ewes and do all aspects of work.
