Don't they only need one MSP to turn turtle?

Be odd if they can't find one somewhere to bribe with power, money, or a bit of both.
Assuming everyone within the SNP are behind him he would only need 1x extra vote.
Politics being what they are how many people within the SNP will blade him?................add a couple of leadership hopefuls, some from the right of the party & he'll likely escape with the potential for a Memoirs book deal sometime in the future.
If its a hatchet job he'll be looking over his shoulder at Harvie in the shower block at Peterhead nick in about 20 years time.

So you think an election is imminent?

*edit* - which seems to be the ultimate outcome if he looses the vote.

Not sure @yoki
I've no idea who is pulling the strings on all this, he was obviously told to ditch the Greens but by whom?
He's been acting under stricter instruction for a while now.
Then who is in the frame for the job if he does go?
We haven't seen the previous Westminster SNP Leader for a while either, maybe he is about to reappear as the hero of the hour?
His replacement was on TV last night acting very sheepish & choosing his words very carefully
To much going on in the background for them to have been effectively running a devolved nation.

Finances (or lack of) will ultimately be their undoing I feel

I suppose the thing is, if a Holyrood election were held in the next few months, would the SNP loose seats, and who to?

Or would a few policy tweaks give them an overall majority again?

If the SNP are bankrupt ( as rumoured ) then their very existence as a political organisation is clearly at risk,
Beneficiaries are Labour, Alba - probably the greatest swing & possibly Reform if they are active North of the border.
The Tories will never make in roads in Boaty McBoatface areas & the current Greens are a busted flush

If they survive the SNP would undoubtedly loose a considerable amount of seats if an election was called this year indicated by their plummeting membership all of which was orchestrated by the alliance with the Scottish Greens

Still a huge amount to come from this yet

So they really need to hang on to power now whatever it takes?
My mate is fairly clued up on politics & reckons they are toast
Should they fold then Nationalist voters have the ready made Alba option to nail their flag to whether there is an exodus of Politicians from a failed SNP to the Alba party if an election is called will remain to be seen.
Its a murky old world politics

Penny Mordaunt's take all this should be worth a watch.

Yeah, I hadn't been following events this morning but it seems the other parties are going for the jugular, they must smell blood.

Gonna be an interesting wee while in Scottish politics that's for sure.
