You'll be able to buy back in much cheaper in Feb when everyone else starts running out of feed.If you’ve bought them or bred them before they went up then I would say you are a winner. They don’t calve until they’re at least two and often threeI saw the Scottish report which is confusing. They state 6 calves average but if the annual replacement rate is 16% then the cows are only living 6 years meaning fewer than 4 calves
