Sulky "High Resistance" spreader vanes?

Has anyone used the optional HR vanes? They seem to be about twice the price but do they last long enough to be worth it?

Also is there any rule of thumb for which length to use? For some fertilizers we use we are right at the top end of the width which Fertitest says is spreadable with the vanes we use (and for one 2m over), but we would be at the bottom end of the range with the next length. Going longer would seem to give more margin for error but is there a downside for example smashing the fertilizer up more?

Always go a set higher.
HR vanes tend to last 3 times the length but come at a cost.
If in doubt, speak to Richard German at Sulky UK. One of the best in the industry .

Thank you for the advice @Robt . I ordered a set of longer HR vanes.

They should be here soon then all I have got to do is translate the hieroglyphics to figure out how many of those balancing weights I need now. Oh and get the trays out to check how much to reduce the new width setting.
