Sulky tribord fault

Hello everyone,
I was out spreading fert the other day and the tribord wire to the small box in the cab got caught and it ripped the plug apart which joins the wire on the tractor to the wire on the spreader.
So I soldered the wires back together and taped everything up in plenty of the stuff and tried it, found out it had blown the fuse so replaced that and the little light on the box came back on.
I pressed the little red button to make the tribord come on and it makes the actuator move out then in straight away. It probably comes out 10mm then back in and then the little unit in the cab flashes green and red. Red means the border spreading is activated and the green means it is in normal spread. Both the green and red flash at the same time and doesn't stop until you unplug it and restart it.
It lights up green and all is good until you activate it and it then throws a wobbly. I've checked wiring against another machine next door which is the exact same.
Anyone any idea to how to repair this fault?
Thanks

Does it have a orange button as well? If so does that work? If no the I would think it could be the actuator at falt. Take the actuator apart and see if it’s full of fert dust or damp

The actuator was working perfectly before this happened I think. I have used the neighbours box on this spreader to see if it was the box at fault but it made no difference. This has one red button to activate and deactivate the border kit.

It different to mine then, but when I had the lights flashing and not much movement it was the actuator at falt. There isn’t much else it could be if you’ve swapped control boxes

I think I'll get the actuator off tomorrow and have a look inside and see what might be at fault. I don't think there will be much inside it, possibly an electric ram and a solenoid to operate it each way.

Yeah I've got the wires right, I checked against my neighbours machine and it's the same. I've also got the wiring diagram from sulky and it's the same. The actuator is in the fully out position where it normally rests

What did you do to get the actuator working again? Or was it a new actuator?

I got a new actuator in the end, it was only 15 months old and I had to pay 50%. The new one has lasted 3 years so far, I try to keep away from it with the pressure washer as much as possible
