I may have the option of a contractors cross slot. If so, what's the deal with the pre-em?

Surely the spray will just be going onto a mat of green veg, rather than the soil? Or does the mat negate the need for a pre-em? Be interested to hear what those who regularly drill on the green think!

I would drill and then glyphosate or glyphosate and drill immediately after.

The cover crop will act as a mulch and reduce weed growth but pre-em will still be necessary. The mulch will not affect the efficacy of the pre-em. Especially if it rains after application. Use enough water.

Yes it did very well. You can definitely plant this stuff too early in my view. If you plant it in say April and then have to destroy it in July it doesn't do half the job I reckon.
