Average 22lt? Someone give those Holsteins some extra feed.

"The milk itself is low in fat...." We can't win, when it suits them people say milk is too high in fat, in this example it's too low in fat.

Love the last comment. "The overwealming driver is cost." Welcome to the real world.

Although I didn't fully read the article, it was basically about a guy with a herd of Monty's (still looked like a lot of B&W's in there too) who was selling raw unpasteurised milk and it cured all the world's problems :D well, you know, that sort of article .... cows eat grass outside, so were therefore all happy and the milk tasted better.
The quoted bit in the OP was a sort of contradiction to the rest of the article, but maybe it was trying to say 'this guy's milk is great, all the rest if poison'!!

My neighbouring dairy farm, who milk double the cows we do, has started bottling and retailing some raw milk off the farm. They can't wholesale it apparently, but can sell and deliver direct to the end user.
Some of my own milk goes to a multi-award winning artisan raw-milk cheese producer. I have supplied them for a few years now exclusively.

TB failure/breakdown would put a stop to this immediately of course. It is a big risk. More to me than the cheese producer or his customers. My customer can always find an alternative source of milk.

Gorwel? Or is there more of these people selling than I thought?

What is "non certified milk"? Is it 'non farm assured' or is it milk from unlicensed producers, or what?

Nothing to get concerned about, when it gets to the dairy they have a clever device which separates it again ;)

It's conning co-op customers into thinking supplies with co-op label on is paid for fairly. ... on farms with higher standards.... it's clearly not always the case ... All the rest of the supermarkets may not be involved in this dodgy r practice but you just don't know do you ... jtt
