Possibly not….because it’s Good Friday and she will probably be on holiday.
But she did say she’d be back on Friday, and she had been telling us a lot about ‘light touch’ and how this new scheme would be a result of ‘Co-design’.
I suggest we start getting excited about Friday April 7th, possibly a webinar on this very forum….where she can continue to rebuild the trust we have in DEFRA.

Back, clutching a P45 perhaps?

No, saying how great it has to be involved in the exciting development for the industry that is SFI but she has taken up a grade 7 post just below Permanent Secretary in the NHS (MOD whichevr large Ministry takes your fancy) where her skills rolling out developmental change are to be exploited. She will continue to keep a close and affectionate watch on how SFI develops and is so thakful for all the great opportunities to meet and see the breadth of the farming community.

It's Easter.

Well spotted! I do hope Janet reads the small print! I promise that after any visit( not Inspection !),any penalty for her turning up on the wrong day would be proportionate ,and only imposed after encouragement (not legal threats).Apparently, she isn’t on this forum any longer. Her use of it must have ticked a box for ‘consultation’, so that’s ok! I can’t be bothered to use any more of her buzz words….. perhaps we’ll learn some new ones when she does resurface.

While Janet Hughes might not be a member on here my money is on her reading the threads as a guest and she probably has a team tracking down those who don’t follow the DEFRA line. Having had a phone call from DEFRA about one of my posts I know they know where you live despite that information supposedly not in the public domain.
As a guest she would not receive an email when tagged which would clog up her in box.
The civil service will know how they are regarded by the businesses their decisions affect by reading many of the posts on this forum. Unfortunately rather than doing anything about their failings they carry on because they just don’t care.!

tbh I think she's a decent 'soldier' but is led by the proverbial 'donkey'

I wouldn't mind betting she's sitting somewhere sobbing into a pillow at the shambles sfi is turning into
Not really.
She was warned plenty of times the mess she was overseeing, but chose to ignore the country bumpkins on here and listen to the 'experts'
