Astonished by that, we are in South West Wales and would, typically, expect to see them about a month after that; my guess is that this has to be a quite remarkable outlier or... one that chose and actually managed to survive the Winter over here. I suppose that if he had somewhere warm to roost and there were sufficient insects around it would be possible. Lots of warm water would be needed for the bugs to be around, Wylfa?Well I have never ever seen Swallows here this early - these piccies were taken last Monday - 13th March. Really pleased to see them back.
