Been very windy and dry here and cold at night so hasn't moved on too quick so I'm not rushing but will go as soon as the wind eases which will probably be at the weekend again!!!!

It's dry here and Looks like it's going to be for a good while yet.
My wheats are clean from top to bottom, except for a bit of mildew on late drilled stuff after beet.

In the good old days 0.5-0.75lts epoxi and a litre of CTL would have been more than sufficient. I'm wondering weather to go cheap and cheerful to give some protection and then re assess if and when we get rain. I don't like firefighting but at the minute it's hard to justify big spends on T1.

Some of the more forwards wheats had 0.4 generic amistar at T0 and most had nothing, I'm wondering weather to go with a either teb or prothio plus folpet. I can always do a T1.5 to bolster protection until T2 if circumstances change.

If its dry and staying dry rusts will be more of a problem so a cheap(er) teb and maybe a hint of prothio could well Just do it till T2?
Exactly, robust rust control is cheap.
Is it a year for skimping tho??
Fungis haven't really shot up in price like fert has so probably a year to stay robust and reap the rewards? 🤞🤞
A good dose of azole at T1 and t1.5 is still going to be half the price of a sdhi at T1.

Do we always have to spend big to "reap the rewards”??

Ah the good old days of a litre of bravo and a litre of mantra at T1 and T2 and nothing else.

Mine will go from midweek, one piece of Firefly is ready but the winds not forecast to drop until Tuesday
I know from my own experiences I was probably asking too much from Revystar @ T2 last year, a combination of no T0 then 0.8 of Aviator @T1 because it was dry led to a wet May and stretched T2 timings which would have received 2 ltrs of CTL Upto that point in previous seasons left Revystar with too much to do
No T0 this year and going Revystar T1 and Univoq T2

Ascra due to go on now, but won't be till Weds at least.
Tempted with just a straight prothio route as was done last year with a similar dry spell. Got away with even as weather turned heading towards T2

With fert and grain price where they are, felt it prudent for a stronger T1 this time round.
Fung price reasonable compared to everything else shooting up

Anyone know the value of a T1 in yield% increase vs Untreated in a dry spring?
no rain in previous 5 weeks and diddly squat forecast until nearly T2 (20th May?)
is it really worth applying anything?
anyone ever not done it, just T2 and T3
