Is it a year for skimping tho??
Fungis haven't really shot up in price like fert has so probably a year to stay robust and reap the rewards?
Exactly, robust rust control is cheap. If its dry and staying dry rusts will be more of a problem so a cheap(er) teb and maybe a hint of prothio could well Just do it till T2?
A good dose of azole at T1 and t1.5 is still going to be half the price of a sdhi at T1.Is it a year for skimping tho??

No. Even last year, when it was bone dry, those who cut back on pgr and fungicide regretted it.Is it a year for skimping tho??

Ah the good old days of a litre of bravo and a litre of mantra at T1 and T2 and nothing else. It's dry here and Looks like it's going to be for a good while yet.
My wheats are clean from top to bottom, except for a bit of mildew on late drilled stuff after beet.
In the good old days 0.5-0.75lts epoxi and a litre of CTL would have been more than sufficient. I'm wondering weather to go cheap and cheerful to give some protection and then re assess if and when we get rain. I don't like firefighting but at the minute it's hard to justify big spends on T1.
Some of the more forwards wheats had 0.4 generic amistar at T0 and most had nothing, I'm wondering weather to go with a either teb or prothio plus folpet. I can always do a T1.5 to bolster protection until T2 if circumstances change.
Mine will go from midweek, one piece of Firefly is ready but the winds not forecast to drop until Tuesday
I know from my own experiences I was probably asking too much from Revystar @ T2 last year, a combination of no T0 then 0.8 of Aviator @T1 because it was dry led to a wet May and stretched T2 timings which would have received 2 ltrs of CTL Upto that point in previous seasons left Revystar with too much to do
No T0 this year and going Revystar T1 and Univoq T2
A litre, then I have 1.25 of Univoq in storeSimilar to me. Litre of revstar or more?
Me too.A litre, then I have 1.25 of Univoq in store
Spending money is no guarantee off success , spending none guarantees failureAnd here lies the dilemma: at £250.00+ there is no point in skimping on fungicides, but in the same breath there is no point spending money unnecessarily.
Oh don't worry, my brother in law is my agronomist he won't let me get away with not spending moneySpending money is no guarantee off success , spending none guarantees failure
Ooooo conflict of interestsOh don't worry, my brother in law is my agronomist he won't let me get away with not spending money
