t2 flag leaf spray

No regrets about going on as soon as all the flag leaves were out 3 weeks after T1! 6 rainfall events between T1 & T2 here.

Septoria can be latent for 3 weeks before showing symptoms, by which time it is too late.
Is it in the bottom of your crop? I do appreciate I do not live in Dorset, what have you applied nothing with kick back?
We all do it differently and none of us are right every year, but I do control spend..on behalf of my clients as produce prices vary.

Septoria is on leaf 4. CTL used at T0, 1 & 2. Adexar at T1 & T2. I work on the basis that leaf 3 & leaf 1 need treating as soon as they are out. My doses & spend are earlier in this thread.

Edit: T2 was 1.25 Adexar + 1 Rover costing £41ha on Diego/Santiago/Cubanita - dirty varieties in a high septoria area.

Generally work on timing the T2 3 to 3.5 wks from T1 or full flag, whichever comes sooner.

Issue comes with slower/later varieties where leaf emergence is protracted or with early sown crops, which seem to race to leaf 3 emergence but then seem to slow down. It is this extended gap between leaf 3 and leaf 1 where a 'T1.5' may be appropriate.

But it really all depends on variety, weather, logistics, the farmer etc....

Vexingly, I have 200ac left to so on some later wheats. The plan was to go tomorrow, but todays "drizzle" now looks like it could turn out to be fairly wet.

My grazier has grass silage down & his contractor has 2 days of baling & wrapping ahead of him. If that isn't temping fate I don' know what is!

Weather Pro says 23mm rain due between now & Tuesday

While hindsight is wonderful I would sooner think I could have saved a few quid than think how much yield I had lost by not applying chems on time and then the weather turning against my plan

It's on its way! (y)

A mate posted up something on Facebook last night from Veryweather.co.uk. Apparently we are due winds from the Sahara in early June with 30+ oC! News to me. I'll get me (waterproof) coat.

dry morning here after yesterdays showers 2 load on this morning and 1 1/2 to go forecast heavy rain tommorrow but seems tommorrow never comes so that will be all flag leaf done and in the last few days its amazing how fast crops have moved to ears popping out here and there

Didn't bother with T0 here this year, we don't really get Y Rust here and T0 hasn't shown any yield benefit in Septoria trials here. T1 was 1.85L Adexar + 1L Bravo on April 21. T2 was 2L Adexar + 1 L Bravo on May 16.

Timings were what I would consider pretty well spot on with 3rd last leaf and flag leaf emerged. Have more or less 4 clean leaves. Rates are high in line with our usually very high Septoria pressure!

Crop sown on the 13th October following WOSR.

T3 will be Prosaro. Crop looks good. Price looks crap.

Wow, those really are some rates!!

Yes, compared to what one might get away with in East Anglia, they are high. Our annual rainfall is approx. 1020mm. Having 4 clean leaves is a novelty for us.

If I cut back to 1.5L Adexar followed by 1.5L Adexar, my costs would come back by £21-22/Ha - this would most likely be very yield damaging here and definitely not worth the chance in our climate imo.

The 1st wheat crops grown well and pushed on good land have high yield potential in our climate.
